Big Sky Resort, Montana is situated in southern Montana, which is situated in the south of Bozemon in the Big Sky of Montana. After its establishment, over 30 years, it has grown to be a large ski resort, comprising of tennis courts as well as a golf course. It is a great place for skiing with around 150 runs that make the ticket prices rise to 75 US Dollars. Hi9s resor the larges mountain along with the Lone Peak and Moonlight Basin. It was opened in the year 1973, and only after 3 skiing seasons, it was purchased by Boyne USA Resorts, in the year 1976. But, it took till 1995, to complete the Lone Peak Tram. By the early months of the year 2000, Big Sky Project which was of 50 million US Dollars was completed, which also included a new hotel right at the bottom of the slopes of Andesite Mountain and Lone Peak. Boyne USA announced 400 million US Dollars improvement of Mountain Village along with the skiing area, in the next 190 years, in April 2001.
Lone Peak Tram of Big Sky Resort, Montana:
It is actually a lift in this resort which starts from the top of the Lone Peak Triple chairlift and reaches at the Summit of the Lone Peak, which is at a distance of 11,166 feet. Here is a 3 minute ride in this ride in this tram which can carry about 15 passengers at a time.
Activities in Big Sky Resort, Montana:
This resort is well known for its winter activities which is inclusive of terrain park, snowboarding, skiing, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. It is also famous for the summer activities, too. Some of the popular activities of Big Sky Resort, Montana are tennis, golf, horseback riding along with hiking the trails. White water rafting and fly fishing are popular in the Gallain River, which is close to this resort.
